I am a big fan of Mozilla Firefox, a alternative webbrowser to IE that I insist you check out. I also like Skype, a multiplatform voicechat program.

Extinct bear DNA sequenced
Scientists have sequenced the DNA of a cave bear that lived 40,000 years ago. This raises the possibility that they may soon be able to sequence Neanderthal DNA.
