Motorola ROKR iTunes phone 'may have flopped' with six times the returns.

As many as six times more customers are returning the Rokr phones than is normal for new handsets, according to American Technology Research analyst Albert Lin, who said he talked to distributors, retailers and call center workers at Cingular Wireless LLC, which sells the phone.

Peter Jackson displeased with Lord of the Rings games

Jackson announced that Ubisoft, not EA, would be developing and publishing the game version of his remake of King Kong, due out December 14. However, the primary reason Jackson, an avid gamer, gave was perfectly plausible. He said he wanted to work with Ubisoft producer Michel Ancel after playing the acclaimed but unpopular Beyond Good and Evil.

Apple secures supply of G4 chips through 2008

Apple Computer said on Friday said it has entered into a purchase agreement with Freescale Semiconductor that will secure it a source of PowerPC G4 microprocessors through the end of 2008. Under the terms of the agreement, signed Aug. 22, Freescale is obligated to supply its microprocessors for orders placed by Apple through Dec. 31, 2008.
